The Calm During the Storm

My inner world
impetuous like this storm.
Uncovering old particles
and agitating dry sediment.
It scatters
and stings my eyes
as it travels on
to settle elsewhere,
leaving more clarity
in its wake.
My vision
adjusting,
slowly.
